Proudly Serving Active-Duty Women, Veterans, and Wives, Nationwide
Women in the Armed Forces community must frequently navigate the challenges
of competing, dual lifestyles. Being able to talk through and problem-solve
these challenges with someone who "gets you", is important. Our primary goal
is to support the resilient well-being of women balancing the demands of military
life with the expectations of the civilian world. Whether you are a current (or former) military spouse, veteran, or active-duty member, we help prepare you for your
most important mission: life after the military. We provide proven, science-backed strengths-focused coaching that enhances overall wellness, personal & professional development, military resilience while serving, as well as transition support during
the shift from active-duty to civilian status.
Patriot Woman Coaching serves female clients -- civilian & military -- across the
full spectrum of the Armed Forces community, inclusive of all branches of service, regardless of rank or role. With a tailored approach and years of staff experience,
we help optimize client capabilities toward reaching their full potential through transformative coaching.
And, to further enhance client development we are proud to be a part of the women's business collective at The Mustard Seed Place, a haven for women where growth, connection, and inspiration are ignited and you're immersed in a collaborative-rich environment enabling you to thrive and expand.
You are the backbone of your family. You "serve" despite not wearing the uniform.
Now, let us serve & support YOU.
As a female military member, we will support you in finding & maintaining work-life harmony despite challenges experienced in the male-dominated Armed Forces.
You have served our nation honorably, when that ends, we will support your most important mission yet:
Life after the military .
When we marry, life can sometimes "happen" and things just don't work out.
While transitioning from a duo to solo, we'll support you through this change,
so that you can thrive.
We were founded by U.S. Navy spouse and Executive Coach Charleta Harvey. Charleta comes from a family of military men & women. In her youth, she often witnessed loved ones deploying in service to our country. Their service – born from a collective sense of patriotism – was her first introduction to the true meaning of sacrifice.
As a college student, she met the young man who would later become her husband. He, a plebe at the United States Naval Academy; she, a freshman at a university in her native Washington, DC. After the two married and started a family, her husband Michael deployed for the 1st time after the 9/11 terrorist attacks – their firstborn not yet a year old.
Numerous deployments and changes in duty station – both domestic & international – amid an extended commitment to family as a stay-at-home mom, Charleta became all too familiar with the obstacles many military spouses face due to multiple career “breaks”. After more than a decade, she re-entered the work force to reclaim her professional identity and find her purpose.
During her time as an executive coach for a national military organization, she noticed a critical resource gap in meeting the needs of military-affiliated women. Since then, her mission has become focused on championing support for the women of this honored community. From this mission, Patriot Woman Coaching was born and seeks to build a legacy that positively impacts the lives of women for years to come, by helping them prepare for life after the military.
Beyond her work at the helm of Patriot Woman Coaching, Charleta is a mentor for the American Corporate Partners (ACP) military spouse mentorship program. ACP is a national nonprofit organization whose mission is to support veterans and active-duty spouses in finding their next career through 1:1 mentorship, networking, and online career resources. She is also a member of the board of advisors for the Strategic Alliance for Veteran Integration (SAVI), a national nonprofit dedicated to supporting transitioning service members as they navigate obtaining post-service VA entitlements, through the provision of customized services and proprietary programs.
When women collaborate, there's nothing we can't do with the right resources
and assistance. Through our work, we are unapologetically female-focused. We champion the genius of our gender as women through the many benefits of coaching.
